About the company

STAPRO s.r.o. is a leading supplier of software and services for hospitals and other health care providers in Central European markets.

We develop software for all health care areas – both medical software (hospital information systems and laboratory systems) and non-medical software (management information systems, boarding systems, store logistics, and many others). We supply comprehensive solutions based on our own products supplemented with all related services, including the long-term support and outsourcing of medical information systems. Our systems not only facilitate work and make it more efficient for doctors, nurses, and medical facility management but also ensure enhanced safety for patients. Our expert consulting services enable health care providers to efficiently control the quality of reporting and maintain efficient contractual relations with health insurance companies. We have been focusing on health care computerisation and secure medical documentation sharing between individual participants in health care for a long time.

History

Since the foundation of our company in 1990 we have taken many important steps to strengthen the company’s position in the market, its importance and its stability. Important events include the creation of our branch in Slovakia, for example. We have certificated reliability and security in the field of IT. We are expanding to foreign markets and have gained many acquisitions of companies. We currently have more than 250 employees and provide our products and services for most health care providers in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. We are also important suppliers to foreign markets.

Our efforts to maintain the high quality of our products and services are supported by the quality management system according to ISO 9001:2008, which was recertified by 3EC International, s.r.o. in 2009 and has been operated in the company since 2003.

The implementation of the environmental management system according to ISO 14001:2004 in November 2006 minimizes the environmental impacts of the company especially in the area of waste management and energy saving.

Since September 2007, when the information security system according to ISO 27001:2006 was established, our company has been able to actively asses its risks in information protection and apply efficient control and management mechanisms to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of this information. The company has managed to set protective mechanisms in such a way that risks connected with any leakage of our information assets or the assets of our clients are minimized.

In June 2010 Stapro s.r.o. was successfully certified according to ISO/IEC 20000-1:2006, which is the first global standard that applies to IT service management and focuses on enhancing the quality and increasing the efficiency of IT processes. Owing to the newly implemented IT service management system we can guarantee our clients service parameters specified by contract according to their individual needs.

He studied Information Technologies at the Czech Technical University in Prague, where he was a student and employee of the faculty engaged in IT projects during the last two years. After his studies he worked as a technician and then as a developer and trainer in microcomputers and minicomputers. He worked on projects focused on the implementation of IT in health care from 1985. After 1989 he, together with his friend, Zdeněk Jirsa, has established Stapro s.r.o. He continues to devote himself to activities in health care, and not only from his position of co-owner.

He studied Medical cybernetics at the Czech Technical University in Prague. From 1982 he worked in Nemocnice Pardubice, where he, as the Computer Centre Manager, implemented information systems for intensive care units and to make the hospital laboratory complement processes more efficient. After 1989, he was a co-founder of several companies specialized in health care IT, including STAPRO s.r.o. He is currently operating in the medical information systems and laboratory diagnostics area.

He studied Artificial Intelligence at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague. During his career he has held leading posts in many IT companies. He joined STAPRO s.r.o. in 2006 after many years of practice in IBM, where he was engaged in the health care area in Central and Easter Europe markets and the Middle East markets. In addition to his work and family, he likes relaxing by doing various sports such as squash, skiing, golf, and billiards.

He studied the Faculty of Science of the Charles University in Prague. After the revolution, he was operating as the Director of the Czech Centre in London for 5 years. When he returned, he established Economy.cz, a commercial portal, and studied Media and Marketing at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Charles University for the next 2 years. He has also made good use of his commercial and marketing experience when he joined STAPRO s.r.o., where he has been operating as Business Manager for the Czech Republic since 2006.

He studied Information Systems Design and Management at the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics of the University of Economics, Prague. He was engaged in the implementation of ISs in the corporate sector as early as university. He joined STAPRO s.r.o. and took up his post as Project Manager in December 2002. Later he held the position of Project Management Department Manager and Strategic Product Development Unit Manager. Since 2006 he has been holding the post of Consultation Service Unit Manager.

He studied Computer Science and Engineering and Biomedical Engineering at the Brno University of Technology. He has held various posts such as Consultant, System Analyst, and Product Manager in STAPRO s.r.o. since 1996. Since 2013 he has held the post of Strategic Product Development Unit Manager. In his free time, he likes devoting himself to his personal development in sports, music, dance, photography, and esotericism.

He studied Biomedical Engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication of the Brno University of Technology. He has been working in the field of medical information systems for more than 20 years. He worked as a programmer at first and then he has taken up his managerial position in Akord software s.r.o. This company became a part of STAPRO s.r.o. in 2006. He likes spending his free time doing sports in a mountain environment best.

He studied Operation of Weapon Systems at the Military Academy, where he then worked as
a teacher and then he was Deputy Commander of Unit in Pardubice. He joined STAPRO s.r.o. as Project Manager and Project Management Department Manager in 1998. Since 2006 he has held the position of Customer Support Unit Manager. He devotes his free time to cycling, tennis, and skiing.

He studied Economics and Management in the Institute of Chemical Technology, Pardubice. He worked in many companies, mostly as Financial Director. After 20 years of working for various foreign companies, he joined STAPRO s.r.o. as Financial Manager in 2014. He likes travelling and devotes his free time to sports activities – tennis, cycling, and hill walking.

HR and Operations Manager

Before his work for STAPRO s.r.o., he operated abroad for two decades; the last time it was in the area of psychiatric rehabilitation and for a long time. From 1999, he acted as a project manager and then he took up the position as HR Manager two years later. After the next two years, also the responsibility for operations passed to his powers. Since the creation of Stapro Group, he holds the post of HR and Operations Manger also in this group.
